Until you make the unconscious conscious,
it will direct your life and you
will call it fate. — C. G. Jung
Therapy
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), which means I provide therapeutic support for those facing mental health difficulties. Mental health difficulties may be long-term, like complex trauma and generalized anxiety disorder; or shorter-term, like job loss or heartbreak. My personal experiences, training, and education have equipped me to support folks dealing with issues relating to: spirituality, religion, meaning-making (existential issues), struggles with identity (ie: marginalized folk, 2SLGBTQ+, etc.), life transitions, systemic & power issues, anxiety, depression, trauma (ie: PTSD), complex trauma (ie: C-PTSD), people-place relationships, and creativity.
If you are considering reaching out for a different issue, don’t hesitate! I offer free consultations, so we can chat and see if we’re a good fit. If not, I can hopefully refer you to a peer with the necessary credentials to support you.
Credentials
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). The “Qualifying” means I am a new psychotherapist who is required by our regulatory body, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) to be supervised by an experienced psychotherapist. My supervisor is Marlise Meilan Thompson MA, RCC, CCC, RP. As my supervisor, she is overseeing my work, and I meet with her regularly to discuss my clients and receive her input as needed. I have been seeing clients since 2024.
I am also registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). And I am insured by BMS Insurance via CCPA.
You can find my listing on Psychology Today here.
Delivery Mode
I provide virtual therapy through the web-based platform Jane App. Jane App is highly secure and adheres to all CRPO regulations. Each session is a “therapeutic hour” which is 50-minutes in length.
Rate
My rate is $140/hour, but I have limited sliding-scale slots for those without insurance or with a limited budget. Total household income is considered because cohabitating (ie: roommates, spouse, etc.) brings certain financial privileges.
I reserve the right to change my rates at any time.
Carmel has been so attentive and supportive. I’m so grateful to have them as a therapist.
